100km in under 23 hours – what an achievement!

100km in under 23 hours – what an achievement!
Trailwalker is an organised 100km walk from Petersfield to Brighton racecourse to raise money for Oxfam.
Over five hundred teams entered this year’s event but only 218 completed the challenge. Our team – Fizzy Feet – completed the course in 22 hours 47 minutes placing us in 71st position.
The blisters, swollen joints and extreme fatigue were but a small price to pay for the sheer satisfaction and huge sense of achievement I gained from this event.
I couldn’t have done it without the aid of my support crew who were there at every checkpoint with food, drink and first aid. However another huge motivation always present in the back of my mind was all of the people who had sponsored me and helped me to raise £1150 for this very worthy cause. Thank you!

“Winners take time to relish their work, knowing that scaling the mountain is what makes the view from the top so exhilarating”. Denis Waitley
