Rushton’s MD of Marketing helps the Velvet Underwriters to win The Battle of the Insurance Bands competition. Taking place at the majestic Wilton’s music hall in East London on 15th October 2009 The Velvet Underwriters beat stiff competition to clinch the title.
The Xfactor panel of judges consisting of Ben Cullum, brother of Jamie, and Sony/ATV Music Publishing’s Guy Henderson commented that Susan really got the party started following the bands versions of hits such as Katy Perry’s I kissed a Girl and The Zuton’s Valerie.
